Dr. Kenneth Sullivan Elected NDIA Manufacturing Division Chairman
Tullahoma, TN – Dr. Kenneth Sullivan P.E., President and Chief Executive Officer of Micro Craft, Inc., was recently elected to serve as Chairman of the Manufacturing Division for the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA). NDIA is America’s leading defense industry association promoting national security that provides a legal and ethical forum through which leaders in industry, academia and government can collaborate and provide solutions to advance national security and defense issues. Prior to his election as chairman, Dr. Sullivan also served as the division’s vice-chairman and the chairman of the Supply Chain Network committee.
“We are pleased to have Dr. Sullivan, with his depth of experience, lead the Manufacturing Division’s efforts,” said Bruce Roulstone, Vice President, NDIA Program Development. “NDIA can count on his leadership to advance the issues currently impacting the design, development, acquisition, manufacturing and support of military systems. With both academic and business experience, he is the right person to lead the NDIA Manufacturing Division.”
In addition to working at Micro Craft, Dr. Sullivan has been employed at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center; United Technologies Corporation (Carrier); and most recently as the Director of the Office of Operational Excellence in the Research Institute at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Dr. Sullivan received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He completed his Master of Science in Industrial Engineering/Engineering Management from The University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI). Dr. Sullivan completed his Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering/Engineering Management from University of Alabama in Huntsville. He is a registered Professional Engineer.

Micro Craft, Inc., headquartered in Tullahoma, TN, has been awarded the Boeing Performance Excellence Award – Silver Level for achieving superior supplier performance for 2015. Dr. Kenneth Sullivan, President/CEO of Micro Craft, received the notification of the award, which Boeing “extended their sincere congratulations to the employees of Micro Craft, Inc. for demonstrating their dedication to the high performance standards necessary to meet customer expectations and remain competitive in the global economy”. Dr. Sullivan reported that Micro Craft, Inc. employees include highly skilled and experienced machinists, engineers, quality assurance, information technology, security, and administrative teams, who provide the high quality of standards on a daily basis for all of their clients and business partners and it is rewarding to be recognized by Boeing.

Dr. Kenneth Sullivan Appointed New President and CEO of Micro Craft, Inc.

Tullahoma, TN – Micro Craft, Inc. has announced the appointment of Dr. Kenneth Sullivan, P.E., as their new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He assumed responsibilities on February 22, 2016 and will succeed Jim Herron, who will be focusing on business development for the company.
Dr. Sullivan was part of the Micro Craft team in the past as a Senior Project Engineer and Program Manager. Prior to joining Micro Craft he served as an Industrial and Project Engineer at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center where he worked on various Space Shuttle and International Space Station projects. Dr. Sullivan has also served as a Sr. Production Engineer at Carrier Corporation; and most recently as the Director of the Office of Operational Excellence in the Research Institute at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Sullivan grew up in the local area graduating from Franklin County High School. He attended Motlow State Community College prior to receiving his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Dr. Sullivan completed his Master of Science in Industrial Engineering/Engineering Management from The University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI). He completed his Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering/Engineering Management from University of Alabama in Huntsville. He is a registered Professional Engineer and completed the Supply Chain Design and Management Seminar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Sloan School of Management. He has authored multiple professional articles; guest lectured for various educational institutions and presented numerous speeches at professional forums nation-wide. Dr. Sullivan also serves as a Vice-chairman for the National Defense Industrial Association’s (NDIA) Manufacturing Division.
