23 Oct Gray Promoted to Micro Craft President/Sullivan to Remain CEO
The Micro Craft Board of Directors recently approved the promotion of Mr. Mike Gray to President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) while Dr. Kenneth W. Sullivan will remain as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mr. Gray will focus on continuing to grow the company’s revenue while Dr. Sullivan will have more time to focus on Micro Craft’s long-term strategy.
“This change has been planned for a couple of years,” stated Dr. Sullivan, “We are following our Management Succession Plan.” Dr. Sullivan added, “I have served as both President and CEO for over five years. The time is right for a leadership change. Mike and I have the same values and possess the same vision for the future of Micro Craft.” While functioning solely as CEO, Dr. Sullivan will focus on Business Development, Corporate Strategy, and special projects for Micro Craft.
Prior to joining Micro Craft, Mr. Gray served as the Executive Business Advisor for the Commander, Air Education and Training Command (AETC) and its subordinate commanders. He advised the AETC Commander regarding organizational change and technological innovation to enhance professional military education, training, and force development. Mr. Gray is an accomplished global leader with a 30+ year track record in maximizing operational efficiencies and bottom-line growth across Fortune 500 companies. He is a recognized turnaround agent with success in leading service delivery for both government and commercial projects and is known for his ability to mentor and develop high performing organization and next generational leaders. Mr. Gray is the former Senior Vice President, Operations Finance with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).
According to Mr. Gray, “I am excited to lead Micro Craft at this exciting time. I have been fortunate in my career to have opportunities to lead a variety of government and commercial entities. I am confident that my experience will be invaluable as I lead the Team at Micro Craft to take the Company to the next level. Micro Craft has made significant improvements in its manufacturing capability, including facility and equipment upgrades. Micro Craft has also upgraded its business systems. We have revamped our accounting, manufacturing, and program management systems to permit us to manage larger programs, (both commercial and governmental) in a more efficient and cost-effective manner. It is an exciting time to be at Micro Craft and I am delighted to be a part of the growth and success.”
The change was effective October 1, 2021. Mr. Gray became a full-time employee in January 2021 serving as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Prior to that he served as an Advisor to the Board of Directors since 2017. As noted above, Mr. Gray will retain the position of COO.
