Services

In addition to our manufacturing capabilities in both flight hardware and models, Micro Craft offers services in the areas of engineering, instrumentation and quality assurance. Our engineering department provides design and analysis services for a wide range of applications.  In addition to design and analysis services, our engineering department can provide systems engineering and program management for applications ranging from models to large scale test facilities. Design and development of electronic systems is also provided. Micro Craft Quality Assurance uses an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified quality system to process and verify the quality of raw materials, fasteners and finished parts to customer specifications, tolerances and requirements.  Quality assurance personnel use a variety of height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and state-of-the-art coordinate measuring machines to determine part/component geometries and compliance with the project’s defined drawing or CAD model.

Manufacturing

For six decades Micro Craft, Inc. has been recognized as a “World Class” model machine shop. Jobs ranging from manufacturing the flag pole on the moon to hypersonic vehicles; Micro Craft has been regarded as the “Go To” shop for hardware that requires high quality and precision machining. Our craftsman leverage their expertise with various materials such as aircraft grade aluminum, stainless steels, and high-temp alloys including Inconel, Titanium, and A286 to produce close-tolerance aerospace test hardware, space-flight hardware, aging aircraft hardware, and scaled wind tunnel models. Engineering

Micro Craft is one of the nation’s oldest and most respected designers of wind tunnel models, flight demonstrators, and associated test equipment. Our engineering department provides design and analysis of mechanical and electronic components for a wide range of applications. Additionally, our experienced engineers can provide systems engineering and program management for applications ranging from models to large scale test facilities. Our expert engineering staff can assist you in determining what product is needed, what materials are preferred and which test application is most appropriate. Inspection

Our Quality Assurance department not only ensures that Micro Craft continuously produces quality hardware and engineering services, but also offers in-house and on-site independent inspection services. Our experienced Quality assurance personnel provide AS9100-compliant FAI and Batch inspection reports. Graphical reports generated from Camio Studio and Delcam Power Inspect can also be provided.
